The new MDaemon 8.10 with DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM) technology has been unveiled by Alt-N Technologies, a secure e-mail, collaboration and fax servers provider.

DKIM is a signature-based e-mail authentication product, based on DomainKeys e-mail authentication from Yahoo and Identified Internet Mail from Cisco. Alt-N said that MDaemon 8.10 with DKIM is a the first commercial mail server product to offer DKIM. According to Alt-N, MDaemon 8.10 offers extra protection against e-mail forgery by providing an improved method for identification of genuine e-mails.

The company said that its product, due for release on 26 July, offers SPF and DomainKeys support and includes cryptographic authentication to enable DKIM support. Existing e-mail systems such as Microsoft Exchange can also benefit from SPF, DomainKeys and DKIM support by using MDaemon 8.10 with DKIM as a secure "front-door", according to Alt-N.
