Alltel to anchor new cell tower.

CCI Telecom Inc. of San Antonio has formed a partnership with Red Elm Associates LLC of San Antonio to build a four-carrier cellular tower in Pulaski County.

The 190-foot tower along Interstate 440 will be able to carry wireless-broadcast equipment for four to five tenants. Alltel Corp. of Little Rock has signed on as anchor tenant for five years.

CCI Telecom also said it is in negotiations with other possible tenants on behalf of Red Elm.

CCI Telecom is a wholly owned subsidiary of Charys Holding Co. of Atlanta.
