Allianz starts exploiting retail market.
Insurance company Asuransi Allianz Utama, which reported a 39%
growth in gross premium income in the first half of 2002 plans to
exploit the retail market. Allianz has a strong foothold in loss
insurance market particularly in property and engineering insurance. In
order to strengthen its position in insurance retail market in
Indonesia, the company plans to develop new products to meet market
requirement in Indonesia, which is growing aware of the importance of
insurance. This year the company will launch two products which are
oriented to retail consumers in motor vehicle sector and residential
house sectors starting August through October.
