Corey Elizabeth Allen and Robert William Aiken were united in holy matrimony on May 25, 2013, at Parkway Hills United Methodist Church in Madison, Rev. Robert Green of Fondren Church performed the ceremony. Crisler Moffat Boone directed the wedding.
Miss Allen is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Tullos Allen of Madison. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Riley Stanley of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. James Vaughn Allen of Raymond. She is the great-granddaughter of Mrs. H. E Taylor of Jackson.
Mr. Aiken is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Warren Aiken Jr. of Jackson. He is the grandson of Mrs. Richard Warren Aiken and the late Mr. Richard Warren Aiken Sr. of Jackson and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Rogers Williams of Dallas, Texas.
Susan Williams Haas, harpist and aunt of the groom, provided nuptial music on a Troubadour harp. Also providing nuptial music were organist Sheila Hess and soloists Jeffrey Clinton Pride and Catherine Carter Sledge.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Allure Bridal fit-and-flare gown in ivory with silver silk satin, organza and tulle rich with embroidery, and Swarovski crystal-covered lace. The slim silhouette featured a strapless, sweetheart neckline and a chapel-length train. The bride wore an ivory silk fingertip-length illusion veil with scalloped lace, seed pearl, and crystal edging. The bride carried a bouquet of cream roses, hydrangeas, stock, and lilies hand-tied with satin ribbons and interwoven with her grandmother's handkerchief.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was the bride's sister, Casey Nicole Allen. Bridesmaids were Elizabeth McBee Aiken, sister of the groom, Katherine Virginia Burke, Rebecca Marie Aaron, Katherine Ann Belk Martha Frances Dalton, Lora Elizabeth Gallagher, Anna Terrell Wilson, Betsy Melissa Jones, Laura Elizabeth McDade, Hannah Marie Neely, and Kelly Lynn William. Bridesmaids wore pleated floor-length dresses of blush crinkle chiffon featuring strapless sweetheart necklines with softly sheer bodices. The bride's proxy was Kaitlin Ann Dennis
The groom's father, Richard Warren Aiken Jr., served his son as best man. Groomsmen were John Gatewood Hogan, William Reed Nicholas, William Ashton Puckett, Samuel Grant Ridgway, Jeremy Austin Shook, William Jarvis VanDevender Jr., Edward Andrew Stephenson, and Dr. William Darden North. Cousins of the bridegroom, Richard Parker Aiken and William Johnson Aiken, served as ushers.
Following the ceremony, the bride's parents hosted a reception at Plantation Commons where guests enjoyed a cocktail buffet and were entertained by the music of Bamboo Forest from Memphis, Tennessee. Cakes by Iris created both the bride and groom's cakes. The bride's five-tiered cake featured alternating layers of almond and strawberry covered in buttercream wrapped with satin ribbons and topped with fresh roses and Stargazer lilies.
The groom's cake was a two-layer chocolate ganache cake in fudge chocolate but-tercream topped with a handmade edible chocolate alligator and fondant cattails on a cypress stump. A photo booth by Mississippi Photo Booths was provided for the guests.
After a honeymoon to the Virgin Islands, the couple is at home in Jackson.
