Allam to star in new Ulster 'truth' movie.

Byline: ALBERTINA LLOYD

THE Thick Of It star Roger Allam is to get political again in The Truth Commissioner, set in Northern Ireland.

Based on the 2008 novel by David Park, the film will be shot in Belfast, Derry and Dublin over the next five weeks.

Allam, 61, stars as Henry Stanfield, a career diplomat who has just been appointed Truth Commissioner.

Stanfield is charged with leading an inquiry into the disappearance, 20 years earlier, of 15-year-old boy Connor Roche.

But his investigations uncover a tangled web of lies, and truths which none of those in power are prepared to reveal.

The cast also includes The Fall's Sean McGinley, Mr Selfridge star Tom Goodman Hill, actors Conleth Hill, Ian McElhinney, Brid Brennan and Barry Ward.
