All tease and no sleaze; An Evening of Burlesque NEW ALEXANDRA THEATRE, BIRMINGHAM PREVIEW.
BRITAIN'S biggest burlesque extravaganza, now in its fourth year, is about to hit town again.
A quarter of a million people have now seen An Evening Of Burlesque and it has travelled as far afield as St Petersburg and Verona.
The cheeky, glamorous show features corsets, killer heels and stockings - and that's just among the audience.
Theatre-goers dress up for the occasion as there is a prize for the best-dressed, most dazzling member of the audience.
The producers describe the show as a combination of "sultry vocals, breathtaking choreography, mischief, magic, frivolity and fun - plus all tease, no sleaze".
The acts include Bettsie Bonbon, a former Lloyds underwriter with a law degree whose fiance Spencer is from Coventry.
The Folly Mixtures are a quartet, while Amber Topaz is the Yorkshire Tease with a powerful singing voice.
Other dancers include Miss Ooh La Lou, Miss Felixy Splits and Liberty Sweet, who performs on her own sparkle-encrusted swing.
There are even a couple of male performers - dapper Reuben Kaye and magician Christian Lee.
An Evening of Burlesque comes to Birmingham's New Alexandra Theatre on September 12.
