All schools of thought to observe unity week from 12th Rabiul Awwal.
MULTAN:Ulema from all schools of thought
announced here Tuesday to celebrate Jashn-e-Eid Milad Un Nabi
(Peace Be Upon Him) with unity and enthusiasm and to observe
unity week from Rabiul Awwal 12-17 (Nov 21-26) to defeat
conspiracies of anti-Islam elements.
The announcement was made jointly by Majlis-e-Wahdat-ul-
Muslimeen (MWM) South Punjab general secretary Allama Iqtidar
Naqvi, Motahida Muslim Movement head Dr. Akmal Madni, Yasir
Irshad from Minhaj ul Quran and Maulana Hadi Hussain Hadi
at a press conference at Multan Press Club.
Allama Iqtidar Naqvi said that believers and scholars from
all schools of thought were united in Pakistan, like elsewhere
in the world and would defeat the elements bent upon creating
divide and harm peace. He said that people from all schools of
thought would take out joint processions and MWM workers would
welcome them and provide them eatables from different 'Sabeel'
He said that Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) was the biggest
personality on earth and still serves as a point of convergence
for believers from all schools of thought.
Dr. Akmal Madni congratulated people on Eid Milad Un Nabi
(PBUH) celebrations and added that the birth of Holy Prophet
(PBUH) was a symbol of unity and solidarity for the muslim world.
He said that all peoples, irrespective of their schools of
thought or religion, should strive for a society based on
brotherhood, unity and tolerance in the light of the teachings of
Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH).
MWM South Punjab deputy general secretary Saleem Abbas
Siddiqui, Syed Nadeem Abbas Kazmi and others were also present.
