All eyes on the latest must-have gadgets for parents By ZOE CHAMBERLAIN Family Writer @zoechamberlain; EXPERTS GUIDE US TOWARDS 10 ESSENTIALS SET TO FEATURE IN THIS YEAR'S BABY SHOW AT NEC.

DID you know you can get a self-sterilising baby bottle, a travel cot that collapses in just three seconds and a virtual monitor to keep over zealous grandparents at bay? Gone were the days when you could just get by with a pram, a handful of terry nappies and a few muslin squares - the parenting business has now gone hi-tech crazy.

Parents to be and those with little ones will be flocking to The Baby Show at the NEC from May 13 to 15 to test out the latest whizzy gadgets, all promising to make life easier for families.

So, ahead of the event we have asked the show experts to reveal what they think are the top 10 gadgets every new parent needs in 2016.

But do you agree? 1) VIRTUAL VISITING FOR KEEN GRANDPARENTS Ideal for those eager relatives who just can't visit enough. Twinkle, PS99, is the first Onni Smart Care baby monitor, which features a monitor, an app and a web portal.

Just launched, it's been designed by busy parents of a toddler and twin babies, and includes HD quality video streaming, alerts and online tools that help parents monitor, measure their child's growth and developmental milestones, and see how they correlate with the WHO charts.

2) 360deg SWIVEL CAR SEAT DUALFIX is Britax's car seat that swivels a full 360deg, giving parents the choice of having their child rearward facing up to 18kg or turn them 180deg to a forward facing position from 9kg, without having reinstall the car seat.

The rotation ability also means the car seat, which costs PS355, can be turned to a 90deg angle to help parents smoothly place their child in and out of their vehicle from the side.

3) SELF-STERILISING BABY BOTTLE Is this the perfect gadget for exhausted mums and dads everywhere? You simply heat the MAM Anti Colic bottle in the microwave with water and it's done in just three minutes!

Whether on holiday, visiting friends or just out for the day, this smart anti-colic bottle comes in various sizes and costs from PS5.50.

4) FLOATING BATH THERMOMETER, CLOCK AND TIMER This cute turtle is not just any old bath toy! The Nuby 3-in-1 Bath Time Thermometer, Clock and Timer flashes and beeps when the water is too hot or too cold and helps you monitor how long baby has been in the bath. It's PS9.99, making it a good baby gift to help reassure new parents.

5) NIGHT VISION CAR SEAT BABYCAM Wondering what your little one's up to whilst you're driving in the dark? The Garmin babyCam is the first in-vehicle video monitor that functions wirelessly with a compatible Garmin GPS sat nav, giving parents route guidance whilst monitoring their kids in the back seat. Oh, and it's got night vision so you can see in the dark too. It will set you back PS159.99 (Garmin GPS sat navs sold separately).

6) SPACECOT Travelling with a baby? Cue the rocket scientists. A real life rocket scientist has developed SpaceCot, a 5kg super lightweight travel cot which closes in just three seconds - which is amazing, as anyone who has grappled with a travel cot for half an hour will testify. Costing PS139.95, the technology is inspired by the way satellites unfurl at 30,000 miles above the earth. Yes, seriously.

7) STROLLER YOU CAN CARRY ON YOUR BACK This 'go anywhere' Omnio Stroller, PS389, features a lightweight, robust frame which folds so small it may be worn on the user's back. It can carry up to 22kg and features multi-terrain, puncture-proof wheels.

8) BABY BOTTLE PERFECT PREP MACHINE How many mums have dreamed of a machine that makes a fresh bottle at just the right temperature in less than two minutes? Well, it's here and it works like this: the filter removes any tap water impurities then it delivers a 'hot shot' of water to kill any bacteria in the feed and ensure the formula dissolves quickly and easily before topping up with just the right amount of water at just the right temperature. The Tommee Tippee Perfect Prep Machine costs PS120.

9) STEAMER BLENDER IN ONE FOR HEALTHY WEANING The Tommee Tippee Steamer Blender, PS99.99, steams fruit and veg to preserve key nutrients then blends it to a range of textures to suit every stage of weaning, which equals less mess and washing up! And the automatic timer means you can set it and then spend more time with your baby.

10) EXPRESS AND GO KIT By using a single pouch to express, store, warm and feed, there is no need to transfer milk at any stage, so Mum will never lose a precious drop! Since its launch six months ago, the Tommee Tippee Express and Go range has won two prestigious innovation awards. A starter set costs PS19.99.

? The Baby Show with MADEFORMUMs is returning to the NEC in Birmingham from May 13 to 15. It will be home to over 200 exhibitors showcasing the very best baby and infant essentials. The main stage will host speakers including renowned nutritionist, Annabel Karmel MBE, breastfeeding expert Geraldine Miskin, British Red Cross first aid specialist Tracey Taylor, sleep guru Fi Star-Stone and many more.
