All dressed up for their big night on stage - cast of the Full Monty.

STARS of the Full Monty musical have been baring all on stage as the new show kicked-off in Sunderland.

The lead role is Gary Lucy, who's best known for TV roles in EastEnders, Hollyoaks and The Bill, and he joined his fellow cast mates to strut their stuff on the streets of Sunderland before their opening night in the city on Monday.

Gary said he's relishing his time treading the boards as Gaz, a role made famous by Robert Carlyle in the 1997 film which was penned by award-winning screenwriter Simon Beaufoy.

Joining him on stage were Andrew Dunn, as Gerald, Louis Emerick as Horse, Martin Miller as Dave, Bobby Schofield makes his stage debut as Lomper and Rupert Hill as Guy.

The production also features the iconic songs from the film by Donna Summer, Hot Chocolate and Tom Jones.

The Full Monty is at Sunderland Empire until Saturday.
