All Pakistan CDA Kabaddi Cup begins.

ISLAMABAD -- All Pakistan CDA Kabaddi Cup - 2013 organized by the Capital Development Authority (CDA) has commenced here at Cricket Ground, Fatima Jinnah (F-9) Park, Islamabad.

Member Administration CDA, Munir Ahmad Chaudhry inaugurated the Kabaddi Tournament.

Prominent Kabaddi teams of the country are participating. On the day first, Pakistan Army has secured 52 and beat Islamabad Kabaddi team.

Afzal Bajwa, Sajjad Gujjar, Rana Ali Shahid and Rana Naeem displayed outstanding performance from Pakistan Army Kabaddi team. On the other hand Islamabad Kabaddi team secured only 18 points.

In second match, Pakistan Air Force Kabaddi team won the match against the Pakistan Navy Kabaddi team. Pakistan Air Force team achieved 42 points while Pakistan Navy got 19 points. Muhammad Irfan, Waqas Butt, Sarfaraz (Tony) and Asif Maula demonstrated tremendous performances from Pakistan Air Force Kabaddi team.

Final of the All Pakistan Kabaddi Cup - 2013 would be played between Pakistan Army and Pakistan Air Force Kabaddi Teams at Cricket Ground, Fatima Jinnah (F-9) Park.

Inaugurating the Kabaddi Tournament, chief guest, Member Administration CDA, Munir Ahmad Chaudhry said that on the directions of Chairman CDA, Syed Tahir Shahbaz, Sports and Culture Directorate of CDA has chalked out a comprehensive plan for sports and recreational activities for youth. He said that CDA would provide healthy opportunities to young generations for healthy activities.

Member Administration said that Kabaddi is our cultural and traditional game. He said that players in Kabaddi demonstrate their power, techniques and skills against each others. He said that CDA is taking all out measures for promotion of cultural and traditional sports, adding that the authority has compiled a comprehensive programme for traditional sports and the residents of the federal capital will enjoy these sports tournaments in coming days.

Director Sports and Culture, Malik Attaullah and office bearers of Pakistan Kabaddi Federation were also present.
