The blinkered Al Hareb (Neil Graham/Willie Carson) gets the better of Zalazl (Henry Cecil/Willie Ryan) in the William Hill Futurity at Doncaster. Graham has had a licence, as deputy for Dick Hern, for barely two months but has sent out 11 winners, including two at Group 1 level and one at Group 2.

William Hastings-Bass sends out his biggest winner when Luge (Jose Santos) takes the Grade 1 Laurel Futurity from Ringerman.

Ray Cochrane doubles up at Newbury where Lucky Song (Luca Cumani) takes the juvenile fillies' heat from Flamingo Pond and Upend (Henry Cecil) is too good for Apache in the St Simon.

lFloyd (David Els worth/Simon Sherwood) is likely to go chasing after his easy dismissal of Mrs Muck (Nigel Twiston-Davies/Hywel Davies) in the conditions hurdle at Hunting- don.
