Aldar Properties, Abu Dhabi's leading property development, investment and management company is sponsoring Art-Paris Abu Dhabi 2008, the modern and contemporary art fair being held at Emirates Palace from 17 -- 21 November 2008, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

More than 22 countries are participating in the fair which is expected to draw over 15,000 visitors who are eager to see a rare collection of art pieces displayed in 58 modern and contemporary art galleries.

John Bullough, CEO, Aldar Properties said: "Promoting art and culture is at the heart of what Aldar Properties stands for; it is critically important for the communities we are creating. As the leading property developer in an Emirate with a deeply-rooted cultural heritage, Aldar obviously has a high stake in ensuring that Abu Dhabi's patronage of cultural issues is maintained and further enriched. Aldar hopes the second edition of this art fair will serve as a forum for cultural interaction and reinforce Abu Dhabi's position as a centre of cultural activity."

Aldar's stand will show contributions from artists that are members in Aldar family. The approach is to capitalize, support and appreciate its human resources talents and take them forward as a leader in the market showing its support to art & culture activities too.

"One of the main goals behind sponsoring this event is to raise awareness and knowledge about art," says Ousama Ghannoum, Director of Marketing and Media at Aldar

"To help visitors value and appreciate the pieces of art on display, arrangements have been made for mediators to be at hand to guide visitors and make their visit an interactive experience rather than just viewing the pieces or reading about them," Ghannoum added.

The fair is open for public on the 18th November 2008 at 3:00 PM. 2008 Al Bawaba (www.albawaba.com)
