Alcohol retailers, critics to face off during meeting

Some of the nation's largest restaurants and bars will go head to head with some of the most vocal critics of the beverage alcohol industry in a conference to be held in Orlando, FL, on September 30.

The newly-formed American Beverage Institute (ABI) will focus retailers' attention on "the new temperance movement" as a prologue to the Top Shelf B.A.R. Show, which runs October 1-2.

"We're very proud that the ABI chose to join with the Top Shelf B.A.R. Show," said Rod Groetzinger, originator of the show. "The nation's largest alcohol retailers are gathering here to say, |The industry won't stand for the myths that are being spread. We will fight myths with facts.'"
