Specialist chemicals company Albemarle Corporation (NYSE:ALB) stated on Thursday that it will raise the prices for elemental bromine and hydrobromic acid in India, China and other parts of Asia by 25%.

The company added the price increases will be brought into effect with immediate effect, or as contracts allow.

According to the company, its elemental bromine and hydrobromic acid products are part of its Performance Chemicals division within the Fine Chemistry business segment and are primarily used in agricultural and pharmaceuticals products.
