Albania : EAGLE MOBILE formally introduces 3G services in ALBANIA.

Albanian operator Albtelecom's mobile telephony unit Eagle Mobile has formally introduced its 3G services.

Initially, the 3G signal is receivable in the region around the capital Tirana, Fushekruja and the airport, and soon the regions of Durres, Kavaje, Lac and Shkoder will have 3G coverage.

Within next couple of months, Eagle plans to expand its 3G service coverage across the country.

According to Eagle Mobile, mainly this service offers fastest data transmission speed ever attained in Albania, nearly around 42 Mbps, by means of Dual Carrier technology HSDPA +.

In practice, Eagle Mobile achieved a speed of 40 Mbps and according to the company customers will be allowed to choose the internet package as per their consumption requirements and thus know how much to pay.

In the country, Eagle Mobile is the third operator to offer 3G followed by AMC and Vodafone Albania.
