Albanese to head Queens West.

Governor Mario M. Cuomo named Vincent Albanese, a director of the State Urban Development Corporation, as chairman of the Queens West Development Corporation. The new UDC subsidiary is charged with administering development of the $2.3 billion Queens West project in Hunters Point, Queens.

Albanese was born and raised in Queens. He attended John Adams High School, and is a graduate of Wesleyan University and St. John's University Law School. He organized the Greater Jamaica Development Corporation, served as its chairman and president, and at present is director and counsel. Mr. Albanese is a former president of the Queens County Bar Association and the Jamaica Chamber of Commerce.
