Alaska Air Group reports results for Q3 2005.


Alaska Air Group Inc (NYSE: ALK) has reported its third quarter net income to be USD90.2m or USD2.71 per diluted share, compared to USD74m or USD2.29 per diluted share in Q3 2004.

The company said that both the 2005 and 2004 results include certain significant items related to mark-to-market fuel hedge accounting adjustments, refunds of navigation fees and restructuring activities that impact on the comparability of the quarters.

Excluding the impact of these items net income would have been USD71.5m, or USD2.16 per diluted share, for Q3 2005, compared to the net income of USD50.7m or USD1.58 per diluted share in Q3 2004.
