Alasi capable of conquering Ludlow.

Byline: Saraband

ALASI has emerged as a classy dual-purpose performer this season and she can supplement her debut win over fences with victory at Ludlow today.

Winner of a Listed hurdle at Wetherby at the start of the campaign, Paul Webber's charge proved pretty game to see off the equally talented Whoops A Daisy by more than two lengths in October. Connections were initially not keen to switch to fences with the eight-year-old but they relented last month and were rewarded as Alasi made a seamless switch in disciplines. Her jumping was pretty impressive that day at Huntingdon, making just one minor error, and a similar round should see her triumph in the EBF/TBA Mares' Novices' Chase.

Charm School is taking some time to warm to his new vocation, but Lingfield's Tandridge Maiden Hurdle looks an ideal opportunity to get a win on the board.

Going Wrong is the choice in the Connect Racing Happy 40th Philip Davies Novices' Chase at Sedgefield.

He was a fortunate winner for trainer Ferdy Murphy at this track back in November but he looked a sound jumper and could go in again.

Trend Line may not be the most obvious choice in the Handicap but she is taken to finally shed her maiden tag at the Midlands venue.

Winless in ten starts so far, the four-year-old has so far hardly lived up to her 150,000 euros price tag but she has every chance of victory here.

Third at Lingfield in July, she was placed twice more in two starts at the Surrey track last month.

Stepped up to a mile and a half on the first occasion, Trend Line got going all too late, while she lost any chance at the start when fourth last time.

She is probably better than the bare form suggests and trainer Peter Chapple-Hyam can look forward to his first winner in 2012.
