Al-Tamimi to meet Soliman in semis.

Qatar's top squash player Abdulla al-Tamimi and Egypt's Youssef Soliman will clash in the semi-finals of the Qatar Circuit Squash today after recording contrasting wins in the last eight stage yesterday. While Abdullah defeated Kuwait's Ammar al-Tamimi 11-4, 11-2, 11-8 in a matter of just 26 minutes in their quarter-final encounter, Soliman was taken the distance by Kuwaiti Abdulla al-Muzayen before winning 12-14, 11-2, 14-16, 11-4, 11-7 in 62 minutes. The second semi-final will pit Malaysia's Sanjay Singh against Egypt's Karim El Hammamy. Singh defeated India's Ramit Tandon 8-11, 11-2, 11-2 (retd), while El Hammamy prevailed over England's Ben Coleman 11-1, 4-11, 11-8, 11-8.
