Al-Qaeda back in business.

Arab News

It seems Al-Qaeda is back in business, as the report "Al-Qaeda seizes Yemen town to counter Houthis" (Oct. 17) suggests. Al-Qaeda must have heaved a huge sigh of relief after once again gaining the limelight. Its ideological twin, the so-called Islamic State, has left no room for it in the world media.

We had started to think that Al-Qaeda people must have been considering to call it quits and go on a long retirement. Woe unto the Houthis, who provided this good-for-nothing group an opportunity to stage a comeback in Yemen.

So, it seems that it is Yemen's turn to soak in blood. It is all set to turn into a wrestling ring with the brainless Houthis in one corner and heartless Al-Qaeda in the other. I really doubt that the ordinary Yemenis would enjoy this bout, as there is no love lost between the common Yemenis and these two groups of fools. -- Anum J., By email
