Al-Jazeera wins Green Seal honour.

Saudi Arabia's Al-Jazeera Paints has announced it has gained Green Seal's eco label for its paints for sustainable green buildings. "Al-Jazeera Paints has achieved a unique distinction in terms of its environmentally responsible leadership by getting the eco label for its many flagship products from Green Seal for sustainable green buildings," an Al-Jazeera spokesman said. He claimed it was the first time it had been given to a paints company outside the USA. "This has been attained as a result of endless effort, rigorous research, and an unwavering and focused approach demonstrated by the whole team involved in this project." He said the company owed much to the guidance and leadership of Saud Al-Rumaih, vice president and co-founder of the company. Al-Rumaih said the company's products were "going for zero-VOC." "To earn the label a product must meet stringent Green Seal EcoLabel environmental standards as demonstrated by rigorous evaluation, testing and plant visits," the spokesman said. Muhammed A. Al-Rumaih, president of the company, said the company was in "passionate pursuit" to stay worthy of the faith and confidence customers had in its products. The products had "inclusive quality" which he said covered features such as functional quality, good performance, user friendliness and strict adherence to environmental regulations.
