Al Shamsi brings home Arab Double Trap title.

Abu Dhabi UAE marksman Saif Al Shamsi won the Arab Double Trap Shooting Championship in Morocco.

On his way to victory he broke his own Arab record, set when he won the same title in Cairo in 2007. Al Shamsi registered 143 in the three preliminary rounds, one point more than his previous record, and finished on 190 points.

Kuwaiti Fahad Al Daihani was second after a shootout with countryman Mashfi Al Mutairi, both scoring 189.

Al Shamsi dedicated the win to His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and Shaikh Hazza Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of Abu Dhabi Sports Council.
