Muscat: The Ministry of Health will organise the opening ceremony of Al Masarrah Hospital in the Wilayat of Al Amerat in the Governorate of Muscat on April 14. The hospital, which has been built at a cost of OMR49 million, has been constructed on an area of 60,000 square metres. It maintains modern construction standards and is regarded a significant development in the field of specialised health services in Oman. It would offer several diagnostic and therapeutic services in psychiatric and behavioural medicine, rehabilitation and emergency services. The hospital includes outpatient clinic for addiction treatment, accident and emergency department, radiology lab, electroencephalography, in addition to day unit, management section and wards to inpatients, electric shock therapy and general services.
