Al Basti Equiworld continues support for Meydan races.

Dubai: Al Basti Equiworld, a major supporter of the UAE's equine industry, sponsors the third meeting of the season at Meydan Racecourse on Thursday, which features three valuable Conditions races.

The evening kicks off with a Purebred Arabian event, the Dh110,000 Mazrat Al Ruwayah Prep For The Baileys Cup over 1600m, while the two thoroughbred conditions contests include the Dh110,000 Hygain Trophy over 1600m and the Dh110,000 Al Basti Cup over 2000m.

In addition, Al Basti Equiworld sponosor the Dh50,000 Hartog Cup, a Maiden over 1200m, the Dh85,000 Foran Cup handicap over the same distance and the Dh75,000 Blue Frog Trophy handicap over 1400m.

"We at Al Basti Equiworld are proud and honoured to be part of Meydan Racecourse by yet again sponsoring the third meeting of the Racing at Meydan season, 2012-13. We also continue to sponsor the Best Turned Out to encourage and support racing in Dubai," said Arun Menon, general manager, Al Basti Equiworld.

"For more than 16 years, Al Basti Equiworld has been distributing quality feeds, supplements and other equine requisites in the whole Middle East region.

"We continue to support various equestrian events as sponsors and presenter for racing, polo and show jumping, to mention a few.

Admission is free to the public areas of Meydan Racecourse. Gates open at 5pm and the first race starts at 6.30pm.
