Al Ain cook arrested for murdering man by dismembering body.
Al Ain Police said the limb belonged to a Pakistani man whose body had been chopped into four pieces and discarded in different bins around the city.
Officials said they received a call from the Asian worker who made the grim discovery. They then started to hunt for the remaining body parts.
Al Ain Police chief Brigadier Hamad Al Amimi said: "Police initiated an investigation and found the remaining parts of the victim's body in other garbage bins around the city."
Al Amimi said investigations revealed the body parts were that of a 50-year-old man who had been reported missing.
"Investigators found out that the victim had a financial dispute with a Bangladeshi cook who works for an Emirati family in Al Ain City," said Al Amimi.
Police arrested the cook, who admitted to killing the Pakistani.
According to police, the cook said the duo had a heated argument, which resulted in him stabbing the victim several times.
The suspect admitted he then used a meat cleaver to cut the body into four parts.
It is alleged he wrapped the body parts in four plastic bags and scattered them in the bins.
"The man wanted to make it difficult for police to identify the victim. He was trying to cover up the crime," said the officer.
The Bangladeshi has been referred to public prosecution.
