NORDIC BUSINESS REPORT-2 May 2007-Aker Kvaerner ASA receives NOK90m mooring winches and fairleads order from Statoil ASA(C)1994-2007 M2 COMMUNICATIONS LTD

Norwegian engineering, construction and technology group Aker Kvaerner ASA said on Wednesday (2 May) that it has received a NOK90m order for mooring winches and fairleads from Statoil ASA.

The contract, won by Aker Kvaerner Pusnes in Arendal, Norway, covers the supply of on-vessel mooring equipment for the Gjoa Semi semi-submersible production platform under construction at Aker Kvaerner Stord. The production platform will be installed at the Gjoa field in the North Sea.

Aker Kvaerner, headquartered in Lysaker in Norway, has 23,000 employees in over 30 countries. The company is 40.1%-owned by Norwegian industrial holding group Aker Group. Aker Kvaerner is listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange and traded under the symbol AKVER.

One British pound (GBP) is worth approximately 11.95 Norwegian kroner (NOK).
