Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) said it has kicked off the 2015 football season by hosting its first-ever tailgate party and breaking a Guinness World Records title on Thursday, September 10, hours prior to the official start of the 2015 pro football season.
The Guinness World Records for "Most Signatures On a Piece of Sports Memorabilia" was broken with 516 signatures, and a new record was set with 702 signatures on a customized enormous inflated football.
The award is DFW Airport's first to be recognized by Guinness World Records, which is the authority on record-breaking achievements around the world. A Guinness World Records adjudicator was on-site to judge and witness the record-breaking event.
The event was held in front of the Dallas Cowboys Club, an exclusive new full-service dining venue in Terminal A, offering travelers an upscale Dallas Cowboys experience featuring advanced Texas-inspired cuisine and a modern-feeling venue.
Operating on a mission to connect the world, Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is the world's third busiest, hosting 1,850 flights a day and serving more than 62 million customers a year.
