China Eastern Airlines, Oneworld
China Eastern In Talks To Join Oneworld. China Eastern Airlines, the country's third-largest airline, is in talks with the oneworld airline alliance to be a member carrier, the alliance's managing partner said on Thursday. The oneworld alliance, led by American Airlines and British Airways, hopes to expand its network in the growing Chinese market by recruiting an airline on the mainland. Hong Kong's Cathay Pacific Airways is a member. The chief executives of the oneworld members held a joint briefing in Tokyo on Thursday to mark Japan Airlines' inclusion from April. Royal Jordanian and Hungary's Malev will also join the alliance from April. Other oneworld members include Finland's Finnair, Spain's Iberia, and Chile's LAN. Mar 1, 2007
Malaysia Airlines, KLM
KLM and Malaysia Airlines are strengthening their codeshare cooperation to include MAS flights from Kuala Lumpur to Penang, Langkawi and Kota Kinabalu. KLM passengers arriving from Amsterdam will have access to the flights from March 1. Feb 28, 2007 03/05/2007
