Airbus staff dig deep for charity.

AIRBUS staff have dug deep to raise funds for their nominated charity for the past 18 months and are celebrating achieving a final total of more than PS230,000.

Leading children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent was nominated by staff at Airbus plants in Broughton and Filton as part of the company's Charity Challenge initiative.

Some of the most successful fundraising events during this partnership include a golf tournament, a staff raft race and a charity dinner, with Broughton staff raising PS150,000 of the final total.

Phil McGraa, Airbus in the UK Charity Campaign Manager said: "I am proud of what the Broughton and Filton teams have achieved over the past 18 months with CLIC Sargent. The dedication shown in supporting this worthy cause has been inspirational and will make a huge difference to the lives of young people and their families." Julie Millar of CLIC Sargent's added: "Airbus haven't just given a huge amount of money, but work experience, mentoring and volunteering."
