Airbus receives order from Lao Airlines for two A320s.


Airbus, an aircraft manufacturer, on Friday announced that Lao Airlines of Lao People's Democratic Republic has signed a contract for the purchase of two A320 aircraft.

The contract for two A320 aircraft is the first between the carrier and the aircraft manufacturer. The aircraft are intended to be operated by the carrier on routes linking Vientiane to destinations in South East Asia such as Bangkok and Singapore.

Powered by CFM56 engines from CFM International the aircraft will feature a two class configuration.

No financial details of the order were disclosed.
