AirTran Airways to introduce new service between Harrisburg and Fort Lauderdale.


AirTran Airways, a subsidiary of AirTran Holdings Inc (NYSE: AAI), said on Wednesday that it is launching a non-stop service between Harrisburg International Airport and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport on 5 November 2009.

The flights will be operated on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, using 117-seat Boeing 717 aircraft fitted with Gogo Wi-Fi service.

Flight 1137 will depart Fort Lauderdale at 14:40, arriving in Harrisburg at 17:15, with return flight 1138 departing Harrisburg at 17:50 and arriving in Fort Lauderdale at 20:30.

Introductory fares for the route start at USD64. These fares must be booked by 15 August for travel before 15 December 2009.
