Air products' just launched Freshline MP advances liquid nitrogen cryogenic freezing.

The Freshline MP tunnel liquid nitrogen freezer, recently introduced at the International Boston Seafood Show, is the latest advance in cryogenic freezing from Lehigh Valley, Pennsylvania, USA-based Air Products.

Designed with efficiency and hygiene in mind, the freezer uses what Air Products calls "unmatched heat transfer capability" to achieve cryogenic temperatures throughout the entire length of the tunnel. It also meets or exceeds international cleanability standards with reduced gasketing and easily accessible surfaces that are slightly pitched to promote water run-off during cleaning.

Building on the food freezing technology developed over the last 40 years, the company says its new MP freezer "squeezes the maximum energy out of every drop of liquid nitrogen." It employs the latest in control technology, with a PLC-driven controller that runs all functions of the freezer while providing a visual representation of the system during operation.

The MP freezer also has a touch screen interface built especially for food processing environments, and an information tracking capability to help optimize operations.
