Caption: AIR BORN -- A 28-year-old woman gave birth Sunday to these triplets aboard a medical helicopter. The pregnant woman was rushed to a medical clinic in Varzaneh, a small town near Esfahan, after experiencing severe labor pains. The clinic summoned the helicopter to take her to a hospital in Esfahan. In mid-flight, the woman's pain became so intense that the two onboard paramedics decided they couldn't wait to get to the hospital to begin the delivery. According to Ghafour Rastin, director of the Esfahan Medical Emergency Department, the air born triplets, two girls and a boy, and their mother are all in good health--and on the ground.
