ASKY Airlines, Boeing
ASKY Airlines, a Togolese startup affiliated with Ethiopian Airlines, plans to launch service to regional destinations on Jan. 15 with two Boeing 737-700s on lease from Ethiopian and said it intends to serve Europe, the Americas and Asia in the future. Shareholders include ET (20%), Ecobank Group, Ecowas Bank for Investment and Development, West African Development Bank and the Sakhumnotho Group of South Africa. The new airline will serve Banjul, Dakar, Abidjan, Bamako, Ouagadougou, Cotonou, Lagos, Accra, Douala, Libreville, Kinshasa, Brazzaville through two banks of flights. All flights have the ET (Ethiopian) code. It intends to serve Europe, the Americas and Asia in the future. Dec 8, 2009
