Air Show ready for Red Arrows.
SPECTATORS at Llandudno Air Show will be among the first to have the opportunity to see the Hawk aircraft of the RAF Red Arrows aerobatic display team in their new Union Jack-themed livery.
The air show taking place on May 23 will be the team's first official appearance in Britain of the new-look jets.
Joining the Red Arrows in the skies over Llandudno's North Shore as the main attractions at the air show will be the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. Other highlights will include a Catalina Flying boat, an Avro Anson, and two bi-planes.
There will also be static aircraft and helicopter displays on the promenade, as well as flight simulators and a full programme of entertainment. Llandudno Air Show is funded by Mostyn Estates Ltd in aid of the RAF Benevolent Fund and Blind Veterans UK.
The fun starts at 11am with a pair of Bucker Jungman Bi-Planes, at 11.30am The Avro Anson a British twin-engined, multi-role aircraft that served with the Royal Air Force, followed by Strike Master at noon.
Strikemaster is a British jet-powered training and light attack aircraft.
At 12.30pm Catalina an American flying boat will take to the skies, 2pm Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, 3pm The Red Arrows and at 3.40pm the finale will be The Mustang.
