Air Algerie: 10 percent increase of turnover in 2008.
Air Algerie had a turnover of 54.4 billion Algerian dinars in 2008, up 10 percent compared to a year earlier, the airline company's CEO announced on Wednesday. Passenger traffic was up 9 percent at 3.2 millions, including 1.8 million on international flights, Abdelwahid Bouabdallah told a press conference on the company's 2008 annual report. In spite of increasing competition from foreign companies, the main destinations saw a significant upturn in 2008, estimated at 2 percent on the France flight network, he said.
