Aids for daily living.
I am 67 years old and a C6 complete quad. I was injured more than 11 years ago while vacationing in the Virgin Islands. I was extremely active prior to injury; I spent much of my time outdoors and was a licensed New York State guide.
I have built a Web site, www.handihelp.net, which contains simple tools and ideas I've come up with to overcome some of the frustrations faced daily by people with physical challenges. I am trying to reach as many people as possible and provide them with simple alternatives that are inexpensive or cost nothing to make.
I have absolutely no intention of charging anything for the information I provide or the plans for constructing any of the devices shown on the site.
I believe the information will be helpful to some of our young veterans trying to readjust to life with a disability.
