Agony of kick widow.

MUM-of-three Charlene Cavanagh told yesterday how her life has been wrecked after her devoted husband was kicked to death on a New Year's Eve night out.

Gerard Cavanagh, 31, was found dying in the street after being attacked outside a kebab house in the centre of Fleetwood, Lancs.

Charlene, 27, who has been left to look after Jack, 10, Bobb, three, and Elizabeth, two, said: "We had been childhood sweethearts since 15 and devoted ever since.

"Gerard was a good, good man who was trying to give his family a better life. He had worked as a chef but had gone on a training course at college and was about to qualify as a gas fitter. He was so well liked by our community."

A 19-year-old man was charged yesterday with murdering Gerard. A woman of 17 was charged with assault.
