Agilent organises forum.

Agilent Technologies in collaboration with the company's regional partner Emitac organised the third Metrology Forum in Abu Dhabi on April 9 and 10.

Emitac Test and Measurement Solutions division is Agilent partner since 1974 in UAE. They are the only authorised Agilent IDR serving UAE, Bahrain and Afghanistan market.

Agilent is the world's premier measurement company and a technology leader in chemical analysis, life sciences, diagnostics, electronics and communications. The company's 20,600 employees serve customers in more than 100 countries. Agilent had revenues of $6.8 billion in fiscal 2013. The rapid growth and deployment of technologies and services in the Middle East has prompted the region's governments to focus more attention on setting up national metrology standards laboratories and regulatory agencies in every country.

As the world leader in electronic test and measurement, Agilent has taken the initiative to educate technical users on the importance of metrology standards and procedures. This contributes significantly to the quality and superior value of the products and services offered in the region.

Raghavan, CEO, Emitac Healthcare Solutions, mentioned about the importance of repeatability and accuracy in every measurement made and how Emitac with its ISO 17025:2005 Calibration centre has been serving customers in UAE and abroad. In today's financially restricted environment, organisations are looking to minimise expenditures, yet there is still a significant need for ready access to metrology standards.

Benoit Neel, VP Agilent Technologies, said: "The business will continue to operate as Agilent, but when Keysight Technologies is launched, it will stand for the same product leadership, quality, and support you have come to expect from Agilent over the years."
