Afghanistan : Tens of insurgents killed in different parts of the country.
In the past 24 hours, on the receipt of intelligence tips, Afghan National Defense and Security Forces launched 8 clearing operations and carried out 100 Special Forces tasks in different parts of the country in order to remove security threats and ensure security. Afghan Air Forces also conducted 134 flights supporting Afghan National Army and carried out 21 airstrike on enemies positions. As a result, tens of insurgents killed, 33 wounded and 2 others were arrested.
The operation was conducted by the Afghan National Army Forces with support of Air Forces Laghman, Kapisa, Nangarhar, Ghazni, Maidan Wardak, Zabul, Farah and Helmand provinces.
As a result of these operations, 65 insurgents including Mullah Manan, Taliban shadow governor killed and 2 others were wounded in Sangen, Garmser, Marja and Nawzad districts of Helmand. 23 insurgents were killed, a vehicle and some rounds of weapons and ammo destroyed in Jaghori and Andar districts of Ghazni. 21 insurgents were killed, 26 were wounded and 5 motorcycles were destroyed in Sayed Abad and Nerkh districts of Maidan Wardak. 19 insurgents were killed and 2 others were arrested in Tagab district of Kapisa.
Similarly, 10 insurgents were killed, 5 were wounded and some rounds of weapons and ammunition seized in Shahjoi district of Zabul. 7 insurgents were killed and 2 vehicles were destroyed in Anar Dara and Poshtrod districts of Farah. 4 ISIS fighters were killed in Dehbala district of Nangarahar.
Afghan National Army as the nations defense forces, are ready to give sacrifice to bring lasting peace and security to the people and are determined to eradicate terror groups in Afghanistan.
