Afghan trader abducted from Peshawar

PESHAWAR (PAN): Unidentified gunmen abducted an Afghan trader in Peshawar city of neighboring Pakistan, relatives said on Thursday.

Haji Baghcha Gul who is a permanent resident of Abdulkhel area of Shinwari of Nangarhar province was abducted from Hayatabad residential scheme of Peshawar city.

Haji Muhibullah a cousin of the abducted told Pajhwok Afghan News that armed men broke into the house of Gul and took him away.

They had informed the local police about the episode, he added, they did not know who the abductors were.

Sajjad Khan a police officer in Hayatabad confirmed the incident but would not give further details.

None has so far claimed the responsibility for the abduction.

Earlier this week gunmen attacked two Afghan diplomats in Peshawar city abducting the Afghan ambassador in this city.
