Afghan sportsmen leave for Nepal

KABUL (PAN): Afghanistan National Martial Arts Team left Kabul for Katmandu on Sunday to attend the second Asian competitions.

Muhammad Arif Paiman, manager of media department of National Olympic Committee told Pajhwok Afghan News 7 sportsmen and three staffs were in the team.

He said the competitions will begin on Tuesday and 20 Asian countries will be competing for seven days.

He said: "Afghans sportsmen have good preparations and we hope that we will have good achievements."

He said the first competitions were launched in Iran two years back but Afghan team did not perform will.

Afghan Team was second in competitions held in Kabul three weeks back where Iran, Pakistan, Tajikistan and Afghanistan participated.
