Aerohive Networks (NYSE:HIVE), a provider of a mobility platform, announced on Wednesday that its Wi-Fi solution has been selected by Farrow & Ball, a UK-based premium paint and wallpaper manufacturer.

The company said this deployment is expected to underpin Farrow & Ball's growing mobile workforce, in a move to improve its overall customer experience.

Under the deal, financial details of which were not available, Farrow & Ball has started to implement Aerohive's cloud-based, controller-less solution at its UK Head Office and manufacturing site in Dorset, with a view to roll out the solution to its retail showrooms and distribution sites in the UK and internationally.

According to the company, it demonstrated its Wi-Fi coverage capabilities across difficult locations that had previously been a challenge for Farrow & Ball. Since implementing Aerohive, the customer has reportedly documented an 80% reduction in incidents previously raised due to lack of Wi-Fi availability.

Also, services running across the new Aerohive solution include internal Wi-Fi to support administration and in-house processes, secure guest Wi-Fi for visitors, and cloud control for improved remote access and management. This is expected to open up new opportunities for Farrow & Ball to improve its customer experience, as part of the brand's wider consumer engagement plan.
