Advanced Equities Selects Actimize Sales Practices Solution for Surveillance and Transaction Monitoring.

NEW YORK -- Actimize Inc., a leading provider of compliance and financial fraud detection solutions, today announced that Advanced Equities Financial Corp. has selected its compliance solutions for sales practices and a number of institutional activities including equity trading, venture capital investment banking and private client services. Actimize's flexible configuration and modeling capability will allow Advanced Equities to tailor these solutions to its unique business needs.

Advanced Equities, founded in 1999, has more than 800 financial advisors at 200 branch locations nationwide, and has more than $20 billion in client assets. They specialize in private equity placements, particularly mezzanine and late-stage development financing for emerging companies in such fields as technology, health care, and biotechnology.

"Development of the right technology solution for surveillance and supervision clearly rates as one of most critical enterprise initiatives," said Adam Antoniades, President of Advanced Equities. "Having examined the more significant systems available in the market today, we concluded that Actimize represents the latest generation in such technology. Most systems out there struggle to capture the true concept of suitability surveillance."

He continued, "Actimize clearly excels with respect to pattern recognition on an advisor, client, and firm level. This coupled with the fact that Actimize is perhaps the most appropriately priced solution made the selection process easy."

The Actimize Sales Practices Solution identifies suspicious activities by monitoring transactions, accounts, traders and market activities with a comprehensive, continually-updated library of analytical models. The system detects complex trading patterns across multiple systems and generates highly-focused alerts. Cases are opened and alerts are investigated using the web-based Case Manager which includes an integrated Trade Blotter that simplifies many supervisory review and documentation requirements.

"We are delighted to add Advanced Equities to our growing list of compliance customers," said David Sosna, CEO at Actimize. "Advanced Equities validates once again our belief that with highly accurate alerts, a flexible modeler, and an integrated, web-based case manager, Actimize compliance solutions offer the best value on the market today."
