13 August 2014 - US Advanced Cell Diagnostics Inc (ACD), specialising in in situ nucleic acid detection, and Germany-based Leica Biosystems, a developer of anatomic pathology workflow solutions, have agreed to jointly commercialise ACD's RNAscope LS ISH assays with Leica Biosystems' BOND RX research staining platform, the pair said Wednesday.
The combination of the two products will provide scientists with a fully automated ISH solution, integrating ACD's RNAscope LS reagent kits and ISH probes, as well as Leica Biosystems' BOND RX platform and related reagents.
The RNAscope assays allow for the first time robust single RNA molecule identification for formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue, and are used for drug discovery, translational research and development of clinical and companion diagnostics. The RNAscope LS assays are fully automated on the BOND RX system, which automates staining, thus providing a fast, high-throughput workflow with high consistency and reduced hands-on time.
