De Gruyter Textbook

Buono presents a textbook for a one-semester calculus course for students who have completed at least one semester of elementary linear algebra and two previous semesters of calculus. He takes full advantage of linear algebra in order to present the calculus concepts as generally as possible, and goes a step further by introducing the concept of tangent space early in the text. From there, he says, it is possible to define properly the differential of a function, and from there, differential forms and pullbacks in the context of line integrals.
