Adults go back to school.

LIBRARY and information centres across Kirklees will be welcoming adults back to school during Adult Learners' Week.

A wide range of events and activities have been organised by Kirklees Council for the event which began on Saturday, the first day of the Week. This year's theme is 'learn for life'.

Adult Learners' Week is the UK's largest and longest-running learning campaign. It encourages 1,00's of adults of all ages and backgrounds, to give learning a go.

The event is now in its 20th year.

Full details of all events, activities and workshops taking place during the seven days are in a brochure available from libraries and information centres or online at www.kirklees.gov.uk/events. The website www.kirkleesclik.org.uk has a searchable database. It contains information to support learners and offers information and guidance to anyone wanting to begin or continue learning.
