Adoption and children (Scotland) act 2007.

(a) Curators and reporting officers New regulations have been made for curators etc, with effect from 3 November 2011. They are the Curators ad Litem and Reporting Officers (Panels) and the Panel of Persons to Safeguard the Interests of Children (Scotland) Amendment Regulations 2011, SSI 2011/320.

(b) Research on permanence cases

On 20 June 2011, the Scottish Children's Reporters Administration (SCRA) published two reports about planning for looked after children and delays in processes for such planning. The reports are Care and Permanence Planning for Looked After Children in Scotland and Care and Permanence: Children assessed as at risk at or before birth. They are available on the SCRA website, www.scra.gov.uk. The Scottish Government Response to the first SCRA Report is available at www.scotland.gov.uk under Publications, 21 June 2011.
