Admirals capsized by Sharks.

NORFOLK, Va. -- After getting shut out, 3-0, Friday night in the first game of a weekend series with the Norfolk Admirals, the Worcester Sharks turned it around Saturday for a 4-0 victory.

Aaron Dell got the shutout, turning aside 38 shots in a game in which the teams combined for 73 shots on goal.

Ryan Carpenter had a goal and an assist for the Sharks, while Eriah Hayes and Freddie Hamilton each had a pair of assists.

The Sharks took a 2-0 lead after an offensive first period that saw them outshoot the Admirals, 14-12.

John McCarthy started the scoring at 3:40 with assists to Hayes and Carpenter. Micheal Haley doubled the lead with a power-play goal at 12:41 that was assisted by Evan Trupp and Hamilton.

Worcester pounded the net with another 14 shots in the second period and scored another power-play goal. This time Travis Oleksuk scored at 16:44, with assists going to Dylan DeMelo and Hamilton.

Carpenter finished the scoring at 10:22 of the third period, with Hayes assisting.

The Sharks next travel to St. John's for a pair of games next weekend.
