Adjust your scope.

Here's a fun activity: Read the daily horoscope for a sign other than your own and see how well it matches up with your real life ("Should Catholics consult their horoscopes?" Glad You Asked, July). Spoiler alert: There will be no difference between the "wrong" sign's horoscope and the one for your "correct" sign. Both are specifically designed to be so general and broadly applicable as to be "accurate" for absolutely anyone who consults them!

A corresponding fun activity is to consult the daily readings from the Catholic lectionary and see what guidance they can provide for your day. You'll find that the guidelines there are at least equally applicable, and almost certainly more so, than what you'll find in the horoscope column. The difference is that the source is infinitely more valid and reliable.
